SANTURI INTERNSHIP PROGRAM



Santuri is offering several internship opportunities to members of the Alums Program.

Objectives

  1. Provide much needed support to Santuri HR for upcoming projects.
  2. Develop skills of Alums to manage and execute certain elements of the Santuri portfolio.
  3. Provide more ownership over Santuri projects by the community.
  4. Utilise existing skills of Alums and offer routes to employment within and without Santuri.



Internship Structure

Positions are to last for a 3 month period.
Interns would be expected to dedicate between 15 and 20 hours a week to Santuri.
Each Intern would be assigned a mentor from the more permanent staff.
Weekly activity reports would be filed, detailing work undertaken, success, learnings, challenges.

Specific work plans would be created by management and mentors with the interns to plan out the duration of the internship.


Internship Positions



Community Resources Support

  • Working with the CR Lead to support the membership program
  • Communicating with members
  • Preparing weekly mail out and social media info drops
  • Supporting bookings of equipment and studio time
  • Handling inventory and updating equipment status
  • M&E
  • Organise relevant documents to gear loan such as signout sheet
  • Assist during alums meetups/workshops



Events Support

  • Support & Coordinate with the events team for pre-production and execution of Santuri events
  • Assist in updating event calendar
  • Logistics
  • Support for set up OR set down
  • Artist care / liaison
  • Coordinate with Comms Team for event Promotion
  • Reporting on events / M&E
  • Advise Events Lead on curation,events programming and event trends.
                                   
                           
Communications and Marketing Support

  • Support with the social media post plan / calendar
  • Update all channels based on comms. strategy
  • Liaise with other teams for posts requests.
  • Monitor channels of competitors and partners
  • Support the development of new channels and avenues
  • Assist in writing and editing communications
  • Reshare interesting content from the community
  • M&E - Routine social media quantitative and qualitative analytics reporting
  • Sit-in meetings/syncs and take notes/action items relevant to comms team
  • Assist in logistical support for comms. and marketing projects i.e Oroko Radio, Promo materials

                                                                    
Timeframe

Internships will begin in late September and end in December.
Closing date for applications : Friday 15th 2023.
Applications that pass the initial sieve will be invited for an interview week beginning Sept 18th.
Prospective start date - September 25th.

Hours / days worked
Between 15 - 20 per week for 12 weeks

Remuneration

12,000 KES stipend per month. Possibility of position on completion of Internship.
Cost-free premium alum membership package for 6 months after successful completion of the internship
