KMRU (Live)
For Joseph Kamaru (KMRU) a Nairobi-born Berlin-based sound artist, sound is a sensorial medium through which social, material and conceptual interpretations are manifested in his works. KMRU carries with him a repository of listening experiences from Nairobi and beyond expanding his sonic practices, bringing an awareness of surroundings through creative compositions, installations and performances. He has earned international acclaim from his performances and releases , at the Barbican, Berlin Atonal, Présences électronique, and releases on Editions Mego, Subtext, Seil Records. KMRU has carved out a serious and definitive space on the list of essential authors in ambient experimental music - one of the most prolific and innovative artists in his field.
MC Yallah (Live)
Born in Kenya and raised in Uganda, Mc Yallah is one of the most incendiary rappers in the world. Her music is an explosion of high energy trap, dancehall and industrial club sounds that could be broadcast from a far-flung future.She spits bars with the pace of a pneumatic drill and the agility of an acrobat.As a core-member of the Nyege Nyege collective,the rapper has been involved in the East African hip-hop scene since 1999.
Jim Chuchu (Live)
Jim Chuchu began his practice in 2006 as 1/4 of Kenyan alternative music group Just a Band, alongside whom he created music and visual works until the band went on hiatus in 2013.In 2014, Jim co-founded The Nest Collective—a multidisciplinary art collective based in Nairobi, Kenya that has created works in film, music, fashion, visual arts and literature such as the critically-acclaimed queer anthology film Stories of Our Lives, which was banned in Kenya for ‘promoting homosexuality’. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2015 Berlinale Teddy Awards and despite the ongoing ban in the country has gone on to screen in more than 90 countries.
Sonic Griot
Sonic Griot is a Toronto- and Nairobi-based DJ and multidisciplinary creative of Ghanaian heritage who grew up in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa. She weaves the influences of her pan-African upbringing into her work and performance. Although she has a broad-based taste in music that spans numerous genres, Sonic Griot is best known for curating vibes with African alternative and electronic dance music, her eclectic aesthetic, love of dance, energetic performance and deep connection with her audience.
A member of the Afrique Like Me collective, Sonic Griot is also the creator of Syrup, an underground event that puts established and upcoming women DJs and gender expansive folks who play electronic music on centre stage, and NYUMBANI, an alternative electronic music event series in Nairobi.

Santuri Sound System is a Nairobi based collective of DJ’s and producers. They propagate East African culture,while creating the perfect party.

¡AC! is an experimental act that lives and loves to play with the boundaries of live improvisation.
Formed in late 2021 at a timely intersection of music technology and education, ¡AC! has since be expressing and defining their creative collaboration mainly through live scoring for independent film screenings, or creating auditory environments for stargazers.
The diverse frequencies of these two music lovers from Nairobi fuse to form alternative audio spectrums, exploring the natur of consistency within ever-changing soundscapes.
